Shown above is a nice section of posters and catalog covers from Blenko Glass, cira 1950 and the 1960s. Located in Milton, WV Blenko Glass is an American institution and has been in business since 1893. It’s glassware is distinguished for it’s exquisite color, skilled craftsmen, and imaginative designs. Blenko’s commitment to the time-honored craft of hand-blown glass, has made Blenko famous worldwide.

Modernica has been collecting vintage glass since its beginning when it first opened as a vintage store on Beverly in 1989. The glass is collected from all over the world, predominately from Scandinavian, Italy and the United States. We have many mid-century pieces from Blenko Glass in our collection. The glass ranges from 30-years-old to 75-years-old, the criteria for collecting pieces is based solely on its quality and visual appeal, not based on brand or signature. The prices of the pieces run from $35 to $1000.

Naturally, the glass is for sale, but often it is rented out as props for commercials, television and films. Pay attention the next time you are watching a film or a commercial, you may see Modernica’s glass collection in the background.
