Parallel Light Installation

2009 December 31

“A Parallel Image” is an interactive light sculpture made by Austrian artist Gebhard Sengmüller, in collaboration with Franz Büchinger.  On one side is a camera made of 2,500 photo sensors and the other is a monitor with 2,500 light bulbs to display the image.  In between each sensor and light bulb is nine feet of copper wire transmitting an image to the other side.
