Our DIY Design Contest Winner
Its been fun viewing all the contest entry photos over the past month and we have a winner who happens to be here in Los Angeles. Their wonderful kitchen design was clearly the most beautiful DIY work we’ve seen. Here’s what our design judge Elizabeth Burhop said:
This took a lot of imagination and vision. The kitchen alone is a remarkable feat. The color choices throughout are superb. Even the exterior materials and finishes are unique and look fantastic with the variety of landscape plant materials. I really appreciate the simplicity and clean lines of the entire space, peppered with vintage pieces and lush fabric patterns to add warmth and personality. Congratulations Alexandra and Greg!
Congratulations to the lucky couple who take home the prebuilt Case Study Shelving Unit great work! Thank you to our guest judge, Production Designer Elizabeth Burhop. She’s been creating set design, TV and print ads and environments for years and she kindly took the time to choose a contest winner. Burhop’s designs have appeared in a variety of publications including Wallpaper, Dwell, and a feature article on the cover of Interior Design. Her interior design projects have included a modern office space for Talent Agency Thruline in Beverly Hills, an Art Deco residence in Silverlake, and an old-world Parfumerie in Venice.
We appreciate all of the great entries we received in our first design contest. Thank you for sharing your inspiring stories and hats off to you for designing things on your own.
