Even though Labor Day signifies the end of summer for most of the country, the California climate is an exception. For landscape designers and gardeners this is a tremendous advantage and they work throughout the year. I recently happened upon some delightful gardens created by Ron Herman Landscape Architecture. Minimal, modern and organic their work is very sunny California.

Over the past 35 years, Ron Herman has created over 400 full-scale garden designs in landscape architecture including many of North America’s largest and most intricate private gardens.
Along with several large estates throughout the country, he’s currently working on a 25-acre Japanese-style village for software billionaire Lawrence Ellison.
