Mid-Century Graphic Inspiration
2010 April 12
Taking images from the book Naive, Modernism and Folklore in Contemporary Design. I wanted to provide a visual reprieve from the computer generated art of our times. Enjoy some of the classic methods of graphic design such as silkscreen, classical typography, hand lettering, woodcutting and folk art.
Inspired by the legends such as Saul Bass, Charley Harper and Alexander Girard here is a sampling of burgeoning new designers to spark your noodle.
(BTW, it does not escape me the paradoxically position I put myself in by presenting these images on a blog, but hey just enjoy the visual ride. Get inspired.)
