Luther Conover chairs BEFORE

Although the majority of our time at Modernica is spent designing and manufacturing furniture, we also provide custom reupholstering and furniture restoration when requested. We recently re-shocked these delicate fiberglass Luther Conover chairs for Industrial Designer Thorben Neu. Currently Design Director at Belkin, Neu allowed us to share the before and after images from the process.

Our assembly department removes old shock mounts, does a light sanding process to remove imperfections and a polish is applied to protect the chairs.

AFTER new shock mounts in place

Lastly, new shock mounts are attached and the chair is rebuilt with care.

You’ve mastered the art of chair restoration. If you have the right eye and the patience, you can redecorate a room on any budget. Such companies usually have international recognition as they comply with ISO standards.
