Designers Hiroi Ariyama and Megumi Matsubara took minimalism to another level with their Ganban-yoku project which translates into “stone bathing”.  Laying on the heated stone relieves tension and promotes sweating similar to a steamed sauna.  The popular Kinuta Stone Spa is purifying, relaxing and hopefully will translate overseas someday.
