It’s our first month in the new factory. Well almost, we have managed to move the Upholstery Department, Assembly Department and Shipping to the ‘Main Building’. But we have much more to do.

Modernica’s new factory actually is a five-acre compound comprised of five-buildings. Besides the ‘Main Factory‘ (shown below), there is ‘The Spanish Building‘ which will be used for administration purposes. ‘The Bauhaus Building‘ (shown below) which will house the fiberglass shell production. ‘The Bunker’ which I will tell you about later. And finally, ‘The Wood Shop Building‘.

The Main Building and the Bauhaus Building are mostly completed and the other buildings will be next-in-line for renovations. Currently, in the Bauhaus Building the floors are being jack-hammered for the installation of a new foundation. The weight of the three, two-story chair presses comes to 35-tons and the city required the current 5″ foundation to be increased to 18″. In the Main Building they are finishing off the production offices.

Please check out the photos below and see our amazing transformation.
