Oh Happy Weekend – Remember to Go to the Park, Lay in the Grass and Daydream like a Kid
2011 July 29
Alexander Girard originally created and handcrafted these dolls around 1963 to decorate his own home. Discovered in Mr. Girard’s personal archives around 2005, Vitra decided to release the doll designs to the public and are now available for purchase. The Vitra Wooden Dolls can be found on maXimo.
“Toys represent a microcosm of man’s world and dreams; they exhibit fantasy, imagination, humor and love.” – Alexander Girard
