A Restored Release of Fassbinders’ World on a Wire (1973) – For Fans of Radical Design, Check out This Amazing Film
One architectural/design movement of the 1970s was called “Radical Design”. Practitioners of this style of design relied upon state-of-art materials, such as molded plastics, and created modular “space age” environments. Fassbinders’ set design for ‘World on a Wire’ is an exquisite study of this period in architecture – a curious mix of Radical Design with a hint of 1940s Film Noir. Beautiful.
