Behind the Scenes Fun with Downtown Dog Rescue

At a recent photo shoot for our new line of Case Study Planters, Lori Weise Modernica’s General Manager, stopped by with two of her rescue dogs. We could not resist the opportunity for this adorable photo op. (Clancy is shown above and Akasha is below.)

Akasha and Clancy are rescued Elderbulls (Senior Pittbulls). Akasha is 12-years old and Clancy is 15 -years old. Both dogs sat patiently as the lights flashed—Modernica’s super models. Elderbulls such as Akaska and Clancy make wonderful companions having been mellowed by time and a little wiser with age. This sweet little girl Akasha needs a real home and is ready to take afternoon naps with you. Akasha is available for adoption through Downtown Dog Rescue or you can call 818-407-4145.

In addition to running the overall plant at Modernica, Lori Weise dedicates her spare time to running Downtown Dog Rescue. For 16+ years Modernica has donated the land which houses this all-volunteer dog rescue, and through the years of operation Downtown Dog Rescue has placed over 3000 dogs happily into loving homes and fun photo shoots!
