Dwell Magazine Presents 2012 Los Angeles Home Tours. Get Your Tickets Today!
It’s a whirlwind three-days of touring homes, preceded by one fabulous cocktail party. If you are up to the challenge, here is the plan:
On Friday, June 15th, to kick-off the 2012 Los Angeles Home Tours, a reception will be held at the new Porcelanosa showroom in Los Angeles. Enjoy cocktails and meet the architects behind the best modern residential design in Los Angeles. Hear them talk about their challenges, inspirations, and successes in designing and building the homes featured on this 2012 tour.
On June 16, the weekend before Dwell on Design, enjoy a self-drive tour through Los Angeles’ East Side. As Dwell aptly states, the East Side “substitutes hills for beaches and hipster enclaves for coastal fog. This isn’t a part of L.A. that many tourists get to see.” Click here to preview homes.
On June 17, take a self-drive tour of the Prefab Plus home tour. Click here to preview homes.
On June 24, the last self-drive tour of the series, viewers will visit Los Angeles’ West Side. Check out the bohemian haunts of Santa Monica and Venice, where architects like David Hertz flock to live and work in style. Hertz’s own home in Venice is one of the many on our West Side tour (in fact, you may have already seen it on the racy Showtime hit Californication). Click here to preview homes.
All tours are considered ‘Self-drive’ which means you are provided a map and you can set your own pace. All of the homes are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the tour.
As a bonus, all Home Tour tickets include access to the Dwell on Design exhibition and on-stage programming at the Los Angeles Convention Center which runs from June 24th to the 25th.
